Roger was born and raised in California and obtained his bachelor’s degree from California Baptist University, Riverside, CA. He also holds MDiv and DMin degrees from Gateway Baptist Theological Seminary, Ontario, CA. He has served as youth, music, and evangelism minister in various churches, as well as executive and senior pastor.
Roger and his wife Julie married in 1983 and have three adult children and three grandchildren. They enjoy riding bikes, watching sports, and being with the grandkids. Before coming to Alabama in 2023, they spent 15 months traveling the U.S. in a 5th wheel.
Roger greatly enjoys building relationships and helping other believers grow in their faith. He is passionate about worship through music as well as personal evangelism and discipleship.
