Highway 54 is a ministry for Preteens who are in 4th and 5th grades. This ministry is under the direction of our Children’s Pastor, Jim Graham and led by our Preteen Leader, Keith Hosey.
Preteens meet for Sunday School at 9:30 AM in the Hwy 54 Room located in the Preschool/Kids Building. Preteen Boys and Girls meet together as a large group. Preteen Teachers are Keith Hosey, Emily Groves, and Heather Jones. We currently use Lifeway’s Flyte curriculum designed specifically with Preteens in mind. It’s a great curriculum just for them! We continue ministry to these Preteens during special activities planned throughout the year.
Each year during the long weekend in January, preteens and leaders enjoy a winter retreat to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, TN with Bible study and fun activities. It’s a great time together and Preteens continue to talk about their experience away. This is a great opportunity to prepare them for our Youth Middle School Ministry that is just around the corner for 6th graders.
