Wall Highway’s outreach support to the Huntsville Downtown Rescue Mission has been ongoing since around 2015. The outreach takes place once a month, the 4th Monday, at the DRM where church members help serve the evening meal in the men’s dining hall, beginning at 5:30 P.M. The meals are primarily served to homeless men and/or those residents in a recovery program. On average, some 60-80 men come through the serving line each evening. Some volunteers team up to put the main meal on their trays while other volunteers help with desserts or beverages. Light clean-up afterwards is often included in the activity.
