January Heart of the Staff

Hello Church Family,

A new year brings a new focus and our focus this year is Bridge 24. Our goal during this focus is to bridge the gap between a lost world and Jesus Christ. Our different Bridge events throughout the year are designed to help us do just that.

With the Great Commission, Jesus commanded everyone who follows him to, “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20).
We accomplish this through building relationships with the lost, sharing the gospel with them, and discipling new believers in the faith once they receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Bridge events are one step in the process of making disciples. Each person who attends a Bridge event will hear the clear and simple message of the Gospel and have an opportunity to respond.

Our first Bridge event is Friend Day on January 21st at 10:45 AM where speed painter Revel will be our special guest. This past Sunday you were challenged to invite four people to this event. It was truly amazing to see so many people come forward and commit to bring people on this day. Let me encourage you to pray each day for your four friends. Also, attend our prayer services this Wednesday night, next Wednesday night, and Sunday morning, January 21st during the connection group hour. We will pray together corporately for all who will be attending Friend Day.

These are truly exciting times at Wall Highway Baptist Church. I believe we are witnessing the beginning of God doing an incredible work in our midst. Thank you for your commitment and dedication to the Lord, and for your willingness to use the gifts and abilities to serve Him. It is truly an honor to serve as your pastor.

Sincerely,

Pastor Allen
