Where are we with the “Breaking Ground …” campaign?
In February 2006, the Long Range Planning Committee
began the search for an architect to partner with Wall Highway
Baptist to develop drawings for the new worship center, Education
buildings, and a Family Life Center (FLC)..
After several months of reviewing the information and
prayer, the committee selected Chapman Sisson Architects of
Huntsville to partner with WHBC.
You can find more details about Chapman Sisson Architects at their website, www.chapmansisson.com .
We ask that you please remember to pray for the team
working on financing options as well as the entire Breaking Ground
Team campaign.
Growth
is happening all around us!
As people continue to move into our area, God brings
more people to Wall Highway Baptist Church. The crowded hallways, foyer,
and Worship Center are evidence that God is at work in our midst.
Just Imagine what God has in store for our church as we trust Him
throughout this campaign!
Over the past four years, the expansion question has
been addressed. An initial report was adopted from the Long Range
Planning Committee that stated our need to build.
As we pray for God's leadership and direction in our
giving, we must remember that expanding our Worship Center and
educational facilities enables us to share Christ with more people. Our
new building will provide room for continued growth as we will be able
to seat more than 3 times what our existing worship center seats. But
it is not about the size of the building, but rather about the
people we will reach and disciple for Jesus Christ using
these buildings as our base for ministry.
Careful planning has gone into designing a worship
center than remains intimate while increasing capacity. An enlarged
choir loft and stage will better support our music ministry, and the
addition of a music suite will enable the choir and orchestra to
rehearse in close proximity to the stage rather than in the worship
center as people are arriving for church. The new foyer will
accommodate our growing congregation and serve both as a fellowship
area and a place to get ministry information.
Continue to pray and seek God's direction for your
part in this faith journey. God has entrusted us with His resources,
and we are called to be good stewards of all He has given us.
