Wednesday Meals Ministry

Mission Statement: To show others Christ by serving, and more specifically by providing the means of a meal for church members and visitors on Wednesday Nights, to help them be able to attend Wednesday Night Services and events.

How to place an order:

You can place an order on Sunday's:

  • 10:30 - 11AM - In the Foyer of the Sanctuary.
  • 12:15PM - In the Foyer of the Sanctuary.
  • 4:30PM - 5PM - In the Foyer of the Sanctuary.

You can place an order on Wednesdays: (for the next week)

  • 5:30 - 6:10PM - In the CLC. A table will be set up with menus to view.

You can place an order during the week (Thurs - Friday, Monday) up until Noon on Monday at the church office. Between 9:00 and 3:00.

Positions to Serve At: (If you would like to be a part of this ministry please review the positions below, and contact Phillip Carithers (phillip@wallhighway.com) if you see where you will be able to help out.)

Counter Person: To man (woman?) a window to pass out the preordered meals. Need for up front and to gather orders in the back also.

Water Counter Person: To man (woman?) a window to pass out water for those who ordered and those who wish to purchase water bottles.

Setup Person: To help setup the number of tables based upon the number of orders. These will be the round tables and chairs. Set out garbage cans also. Be there by 5:15 PM.

Cleanup Person: To take down tables and chairs at 6:10. Will need to be willing to bus tables (clean them) as you see a need. Other areas will include sweeping the gym floor and mopping as spills occur. Empting of trash as needed.

Ticket Taker: To take the next week's meal orders, give tickets indicating order on lists. Take checks or cash and be able to make change. Times of service as indicated above. Rotation scheduling is what we hope for as we get enough to do that!

Transportation Person: To drive to our vendors and get the meals. Meals will be ready for pickup by 5:10PM. Will need to be ready to take them and get back to church asap. Not all vendors require a pickup.

Assistant Admin : To help with all the necessary things to make this a working ministry. Will work with assistance from Phillip Carithers. Will learn all areas.
